today ail gave Amna her milk.in the other days sometime janooca, kudaththa or i used to give her milk. but today ahil gave her milk. it was fun seeing both of them together.
when i was about 5 years old, i used to play with inshudhaththa.in those times, my cousin nunnu used to live in this house. we three used to play together. inshudhaththa used to teach us how to sing little maid songs.we used to sing a lot of songs together.and every time when inshudhaththa used to take me to her room, nunnu cries because we don't take her with us. so every time we take nunnu with us too.every day we made omelets by ourselves. we used to add pepper.we always play who took the cookie.inshudhaththa is a fan of abheejeet, the indion idol singer. she has a picture of him pasted near her bed. i loved to play with inshudhaththa.

when i go, Amna gets so excited that she jumps up and down. she is very fond of me. every time she says akko, my grandmother tells to call her akko dhaththa.and ahil, when i am with him in the evening while he has milk, he never lets anyone else but me give him milk.
Amna is very fond of buttons, bows, beads and other things like it.every time she sees shaffutha with beads, she picks some beads and plays with them.and every time she sees my dress, shirts and jeans with buttons, she plays with them.she thinks that hairballs are spiders. and every time she sees any hairball, she comes toward me and says"pider thuthuu tedj"pider means spider, thuthuu means in kids words thuuthu which are insects and other living things. and tedj in amna's word means there or here. it is fun playing with ahil and Amna.

With the blessings of Allah, Amna and Ahil are growing beautifully. I am struggling with Ahil's constant sickness. I hope one day that Ahil will completely be cured, insha Allah.

Amna has started talking, Alhamdhulillah, It is such a joy to see her trying to say the words after us. She has a keen interest to coluring, Maasha Allah. She takes a colour or a pencil and will start to make dots or blobs on the wall, floor, books whatever is within her reach. Ahil and Amna love to jump from their father's back (while niaz is lying on the bed) on to the bed, I have tried so many times to take a picture while they are high up in the air, but every time I fail, I guess they are much too fast for me.

Ahil is still in love with his toy animals, even though he is so keen to watch cartoons. He will even ask me to cut out a dragon from paper, and he would play with it, imagining that the dragon is real when he makes it fly in the air.

Amna likes to experiment cutting with a small scissor, and she likes to show me her cuttings. She likes when I get excited seeing her doing different things.

Last week we went to Villingilli with the kids. We had a wonderful time, with Ahil and Amna playing on the swings, sliding, playing with sand, climbing the trees, running across the roads especially Ahil shouting Kudathabey Kudathabey. Sometimes Ahil used to refer to his Dad kudathabey ... And by the time we came home we were so tired from all the hectic activities we experienced in Villingili.

Schoolbag in hand, she leaves home in the early morning
Waving goodbye with an absent-minded smile
I watch her go with a surge of that well-known sadness
And I have to sit down for a while
The feeling that I’m losing her forever
And without really entering her world
I’m glad whenever I can share her laughter
That funny little girl

Slipping through my fingers all the time
I try to capture every minute
The feeling in it
Slipping through my fingers all the time
Do I really see what’s in her mind
Each time I think I’m close to knowing
She keeps on growing
Slipping through my fingers all the time

Sleep in our eyes, her and me at the breakfast table
Barely awake, I let precious time go by
Then when she’s gone there’s that odd melancholy feeling
And a sense of guilt I can’t deny
What happened to the wonderful adventures
The places I had planned for us to go
(slipping through my fingers all the time)
Well, some of that we did but most we didn’t
And why I just don’t know

This song always bring back memories of my sweet little Insha. May Allah grant her paradise and May Allah bless me to be with her in Jannah in Aakhirah

In this blog, i wish to write the wonderful experiences, sweet things and memories I have of my children. Ahil and Amna are so lively, both unique in their own ways and so dependent on me. From the first days, Ahil loves animals, the sounds that animals make and likes looking at animals. Being a small sister Amna follows his brother's footsteps. So by the time Amna started walking, she has come to love animals too. Sometimes I would see Amna opening her mouth as if imitating a tiger's or lions roar. Ahil would often play with his collection of animals; sometimes the horse would be run on the window sill and other times the tiger and dinosaur would be attacking with each other.

Today Ahil played with small blocks. He arranged the blocks and made a building. Then he took a toy animal and it was run on the blocks. Amna and Ahil loves playing catch ball. Ahil has not yet mastered the art of catching a ball. Last night I played ball with Ahil and tried to teach him how to catch the ball. Amna was also in this game and sometimes I throw the ball to her and she would give it back to me.

Amna loves to do the jump act. She would make her small body go up and down even though her tiny feet does not lift from the floor. And when we give her attention and encouragement, she would get excited and would turn round and round at the same time giving the jump act.

Amna is in love with the book "BUBBLES GOES TO SCHOOL". Whenever I read out the words to her she would make happy sounds. She knows where the book is kept and would always bring it to me asking me to read the story. Below are some of the writings which are in the book.

"WHAT IS SCHOOL LIKE, MUMMY" Bubble says.
"HELLO HELLO BUBBLES, WELCOME TO SCHOOL BUBBLES" Aunty says.
"WASH YOUR HANDS CHIDLREN, IT'S TIME FOR TEA" Aunty says.
"LETS PLAY HIDE AND SEEK, 1 2 3 READY OR NOT HERE I COME"
"ITS TIME TO GO HOME" Aunty says.
"NO NOT YET" Bubble says.
"HOW WAS SCHOOL?" Mum says.
"FUN". Bubble says.
